Does it matter? Tell me about purgatory. Tell me about heaven or hell. Tell me about Revelations imagery. Tell me about the theology that gives you more insight into my faith than I have.
Not to be confrontational or defensive about it, but lets talk about it. What do you know? Tell me about your faith. What does Christianity mean to you? Are you working to get to heaven? Are you focused on your witness? Are you focused on the title, "Christian?" Are you reading the whole bible in a year? Are you trying to commit less sins?
You were saved by grace and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. You received the Holy Spirit the minute God gave you grace. Understand, this was given to you without works so you cannot boast. At that moment you became a new creation with a new purpose. So where does heaven, hell, or purgatory fit into that?
I say, "Don't worry about it. Don't think about it. Don't focus on it. Don't use it as leverage against those that aren't saved. Don't put yourself apart from others."
Love people. Love their pain. Love their experiences. You are nothing. You are unimportant. You are not special.
God loves. God gives. God cares about you. Don't get in his way. Let him have 100% of you.
I have no doubt that you don't love yourself more than He does. Let go. Don't worry.
Who cares about tomorrow when you have Him today?
Don't let Monday ruin your Sunday.
Be present. It's a good life. It's a hard life, but it's good.
