JUST AS A CHILD TRUSTS THAT HIS FATHER WILL NEVER LET HIM FALL, SO DOES GOD ASK US TO BELIEVE IN HIM.
The word of the Lord in (Hebrews 11:1) says:
"Faith, then, is the certainty of what is hoped for, the conviction of what is not seen."
The son of a noble man became ill, so that father sought Jesus to heal his son. When he found Jesus, he asked him to come and see his son. But Jesus, instead of going, healed him with His Word. In John 4:50 we read: "Jesus said to him,'Go, your son is alive. And the man believed the word that Jesus said to him, and went away." Not an extraordinary thing, not a sign, not a vision, not angels tickling him, not chills in his spine. The man believed the Word of Jesus, and went away. Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible, and receives the impossible. Doubt sees obstacles; faith sees the way. Doubt sees the dark night; faith sees the light day. Doubt is afraid to take a step; faith rises to the heights. Doubt questions who believes; faith answers: I believe. Life follows faith as night follows day.
