ENGLISH
“He himself bore our sins”
in his body on the cross,
so that we might die to sins
and live for righteousness;
“by his wounds you have been healed.”
Who his own self bare our sins
in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins,
should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed.
He personally carried our sins
in His body on the cross
[willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice],
so that we might die to sin
[becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin]
and live for righteousness;
For by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed.
FRENCH
il a lui-même porté nos péchés
en son corps, sur le bois,
afin que, morts aux péchés,
nous vivions pour la justice ;
et c’est par ses meurtrissures que vous avez été guéris .
SPANISH
quien llevó él mismo nuestros pecados
en su cuerpo sobre el madero,
para que nosotros, estando muertos
a los pecados, vivamos a la justicia;
y por cuya herida fuisteis sanados.
GERMAN
welcher unsre Sünden selbst hinaufgetragen hat
an seinem Leibe auf das Holz,
auf daß wir, der Sünde abgestorben,
der Gerechtigkeit leben;
durch welches Wunden ihr seid heil geworden.
About Read A Bible Verse Daily
As Christians we need a daily dose of the word of God to stay active and keep us on track.
Due to the stress and the busy schedule of life and we tend to relegate this activity to one specific day, which should not be so.
I bring to all Steemians an opportunity to read and meditate on a verse each day.
