Exodus 14:21-22 King James Version (KJV)
21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
The verse above talks about how the Israelites were faced with such a great trial-they were being pursued by a vast Egyptian army and before them was this great Red Sea. Brethren, many a times we find ourselves in such a situation as these Israelites did. We are locked at a dead-end, we find ourselves in tight corners, with no where to turn to, no one to run to. We get to the point where we find ourselves completely lost and hopeless. In such circumstances, we are left with little or no choices, everything is dim, there's no glimmer of hope from any part. There's no turning back too, we then ask ourselves, what are we going to do, who are we going to turn to. Today, i come with a simple message, Look up to The God who was able to part The Red Sea for The Israelites to walk on DRY land. He says we should be anxious for nothing, but with supplication, Thanksgiving and prayers we should make our requests known unto Him. There's no need to focus on past events. He tells us to forget the past and press on. Have you ever wondered why the windscreens of vehicles are way bigger than the rear screens/mirror? The message is simple- FOCUS ON WHAT IS AHEAD AND PAY LITTLE OR NO ATTENTION TO WHAT IS PAST.
Dr Martin Luther King Jnr once said
"IF YOU CAN'T FLY, RUN.
IF YOU CAN'T RUN, WALK.
IF YOU CAN'T WALK, CRAWL.
NO MATTER WHAT DON'T STOP MOVING."
KEEP ON KEEPING ON!
Take it one step at a time, One day at a time. You shall surely overcome.
Shalom!
God Bless You!
