Prayer is a major means of engaging in serious communication with jehovah. It is a form of ministry the christ desires from every belivever.
It is a sacred and important component of keeping a sound relationship with the father, in other words the level at which you relate and discuss with the father can be observed by how much you build and manage your prayer life. Prayer is a spiritual work which involves labour and effort, it demands concentration, determination, total sincerity and intense desire.
If anyone should not pray at all, it should be our lord jesus christ, the second person of the trinity. yet he prayed day and night; publicly and privately. He also taught his disciples the model prayer. At present, he is at the right hand of his father still praying and interceding for us.
One sure way of developing an effectual prayer life is to imbibe what jesus taught about prayer, however there are many critical step on how to develop an effectual prayer life.
First, a sound prayer is simply a communication between two personalities who are in a relationship.
Second, cultivating and effectual prayer life requires going to jehovah's presence with an attitude of worship and adoration .
Third,if you want to build ans sustain an effectual prayer life, you will have to forgive people and get rid of their of their offences. Unforgiveness is a major hindrance to prayers.
Fourth jehovah want us to pray against the devil and frustrate his works to prevent hindrance to our prayers.
Lastly, there is the need to keep a regular prayer schedule. Have a committed and consistent personal prayer time.
Above all, you must pray the mind of jehovah if you prayers would be effectual. Prayer dose not change the mind of jehovah; it only changes the circumstances of man. A key to maintaining a successful prayer life is to first find out what the prayer life is to first find out what the mind of jehovah is before you start prayer. You pray the mind of jehovah when you pray in the spirit! Henceforth, cultvate the habit of staying tuned to the spirit
