Vision & Humility As Keys To Divine Promotion

You may have attained certain heights but there are still greater that you can reach. There is always a level higher than your current status. Remember the story of Daniel in the bible (Daniel 6:1-2) and how through his diligence and excellence he became one of the 120 princes in the land. He later got promoted and became one out of the 3 presidents in the land and then finally he became the only one in a class of his own as the ruler over the entire realm. My conclusion is that you can be more than you are right now. Our God who gave you one can give you thousands more. Let's examine 2 factors that will help us experience God's promotion. They are, your vision for your life and your humility towards life.

Vision

(Genesis 13:14) Go forward! Whatever a man aims, eventually he will hit it, even if it is nothing...lol. It is your vision that empowers your choices. Joshua 24:15 Not every choice is easy, nor appealing. In fact, the right choices are usually tough i.e. to live healthy and have a great body structure, you must shun certain food, eat veggies that you may not like and exercise even when you don't want to. Only your vision empowers you to make the best choices in life. It will help you choose right especially when you are facing a very tough call (Hebrews 11:25-27) . Your vision also explains the sacrifices you make. There are certain dimensions of breakthrough a man can only experience with very deep, very painful sacrifices like the one Jesus made on the cross.

It is your vision that helps you see beyond your current pain. Don't be among those who can't see beyond the moment. Don't be one who can't move past a betrayal, q failure or a disappointment. There is a wealthy place after the cross or the grave. Look beyond the mistakes of the past or the betrayal of your friend. Life did not start with them and life should not end with them. There is hope for a tree that has been cut down.. Job 14:7. Imagine if Ruth gave up in Ruth, chapter 1 when she lost her husband, she would not have found her Boaz! Refuse to give up because eyes have not seen what God has in store for you. Refuse to give up because you have a vision of the brightness of your future.

Humility

(Psalm 138:6)Humility is the openness to learn from anybody. It's different from learning from those who know better than you do. God could keep what you need to know with your subordinate or someone lowlier than you! Luke 10:21 Unfortunately you can't possibly learn from such people if you are proud. Imagine if Naaman didn't listen to that servant girl. Such people grow up to become very bitter because they tend to lose a lot due to their pride. Everything will eventually be at a comfortable distance from a proud person because God resists the proud; and once God cannot reach a man, no one else will. Humility shows in an attitude where even though you had a different position before you knew the other person's position, you are willing to shift ground & change your attitude to accommodate that different position.

Simon shifted his ground by letting down his net in obedience to Jesus's instruction despite knowing fish don't gather in the morning. 1 Peter 5:6-7 says "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." For a Christian, It is the ability to accept the fact that there is no problem bigger than you that is bigger than God. Worry is a manifestation of pride and lack of humility to commit the problem to God. The fact that you have no solution, it doesn't mean there is no solution. God has a solution for whatever issue you find yourself facing. You have bills only God can help you pay. Philippians 4:6 in NLT version.. This doesn't mean you should be careless, it simply means you should be "carefree", knowing God will bring you to your wealthy place regardless of where you are right now.

Yes!! And thats why Matthew.5:5, speaks so much about humility. Reason, so it places man in a state that his or her normal strength won't be able to accomplish no matter how hard he or she works. Nice post dear!!

Without vision, we will never have been here. Why people easily get defeated is lack of vision.
