You are who you are for a reason

Most of the poems, songs, and other literary works had been made not for the writer to impress its audience but rather express himself or herself. Some of these works were even made to motivate its readers or add some insights.

At home, we have an array of books as I find it very fascinating to read the insights of different authors towards leadership, discipleship, and being the best version of yourself. It really helped me a lot towards my leadership journey as a a father, member of the community, school administrator, and as a church leader.

One thing I understood about leadership is that everyone is a leader because we all face difficult situations. We try to lead ourselves to carry out something and solving the existing problem.

To become a good leader to yourself and unto others, it is important to know who you are first. By doing so, you will be able to understand that you are someone who is destined for something great. And to understand a portion of yourself, allow me to share to you a poem that was written by Russell Kelfer. You can also share this to your colleagues or friends who feels unmotivated to do things or chase success in life.

You are who you are for a reason.
You're part of an intricate plan.
You're a precious an perfect unique design,
Called God's special woman or man.

You look like you look for a reason.
Our God made no mistake.
He knit you together within the womb,
You're just what he wanted to make.

Often times, we oview ourselves as insignificant creatures. But always remember that we were made for a specific reason. We may not know what that is as of the moment, but you must always remember how important you are. Surely, when that day will come wherein you would realized why you were made, you will say to yourself, I am valuable.

You may feel a bit envious to someone's appearance or career path, but always remember that you must put an emphasis that you will never become someone else. You should know that you have unique features. You are beautiful as you are inside and out.

Do not feel unloved because someone just rejected you because of your looks, but rather feel more special because you are destined to be with someone better than what you had. Your DNA is uniquely designed to attract someone.

You know now how important you are, but also remember that everyone around you has been made by God regardless of how unloveable they may seem. You must give them the same value of love and respect that you give to yourself. At times, you may often neglect the presence and importance of others, but remember, they were too created carefully by the one who created you.

The patenst you had were the ones he chose,
And no matter how you may feel,
They were custom-designed with God's plan in mind,
And they bear the Master's seal.

"There may be accidental parents, but there is no such thing as accidental child." I often hear those words from the quad-media and even from my friends who try to motivate people who were born out of wedlock. But bear in mind that God never plays dice. These people were carefully chosen by God because they carry out the sets of DNA that are perfect to build someone like you.

Also, I want you to bear in mind, that regardless of how your parents raised you, you must be grateful to them. Parents were reminders to us that we must, all the time be grateful for the things we have in this life.

No, the trauma you faced was not easy.
And God wept that it hurt you so;
But it was allowed to shape your heart
So that into his likeness you'd grow.

You are who you are for a reason,
You've been formed by the Master's rod.
You are who you are, beloved,
Because there is a God.

Whatever you had been going through, always remember that he will be with you every step of the way. He celebrates with you at times when you experience triumph. When you experience agony and suffering, he cries with you too. He can actually carry the weight of your world because he is God. He does eveything for you because God is love.

great piece of writing .!! Can't agree more over first discovering yourself and then move on with your journey. Often we find ourselves comparing self with other not realizing that we all are different !!
Thanks for sharing :))

Indeed! We are unique and incomparable.
