James 1:22-27
What qualifies one a lawyer is his ability to put into practice all he learnt in his school days. He goes to the court, argues his case, defends his clients and sees that he/she wins the case. Every profession has its rules and ethics which are taught in school. In the same way, Christianity is not in abstract. It is expected of every Christian to put in practical term whatever the Bible teaches. A Christian who is not practical in his Christian life is compared to a man who just looks at the mirror to behold his image but cannot tell how and what man he is soon after dropping the mirror. A Christian should not be the hearer of the word only; he/she must be hearer and doer of the word as well. He must be pure and faultless.
The Lord is a rewarder of those who do good. So your labor in the Lord will never be in vain. And know the good you do today will, at a time in your life, be done to you anywhere and anytime.
