There was a time when the people of God lost the Word of God in Temple of God. In our time, how many have lost the Word of God in our own hearts. If we are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, then how can we stand and proclaim the truth to a lost generation when we don’t even have the truth of God’s Word ourselves? Today is the day of salvation, and today is the day of restoration. Christians: it is high past time that we decide once and for all that God is our priority. If we have lost touch with the Word of God, then where will we receive the power to maintain a testimony of God’s transforming grace in this generation. Will we continue to shy away from questions? Will we continue to blend in? Or – finally – will we conduct a thorough search, find the Word of God, restore it to its rightful position, and glorify the name of Jesus in this generation. He is worthy! God give us the faith to never lose your book in your own house.
Then Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord.” And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
