I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life. Ecclesiastes 2:3 (KJV)..
The New International Version quotes the opening Scripture as, “I tried cheering myself with wine, and embracing folly—my mind still guiding me with wisdom. I wanted to see what was good for people to do under the heavens during the few days of their lives.”
King Solomon was blessed with wisdom from God to carry out investigation into many facets of life as possible so that He could make them available for the children of God to learn from. He tasted win and tested folly and could tell that the value of wisdom far outweighed folly/foolishness.
During His investigation he was able to tell what was good for people to do under the sun even during their few days on earth. Dear beloved, read the book of Ecclesiastes to learn how to prioritize your life and submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit and your life will be full of good choices and victories. Hallelujah!
