Hello My Great Steemians People,

Hope we are enjoying all the blessings and brighter days ahead of us this year. Lot of good news flying around our environment, because waking up this morning with smile on our faces as we see a glorious and a wonderful day of success and victory is a big testimony indeed.

I just feel like singing and praising my God with this song below before continue with today's topic, because whatsoever we do this year, we shall be victory in Jesus Name (Amen).

Starting this year with a positive mindset of victory in Christ Jesus in the ultimate goes and encouragement that can keep us going through all challenges and obstacles in life. For the Christian victory is always sure before the battle.

Today we are going to be looking at the story of Gideon using the 300 men to defeat their enemies the Midianites and the Amalekites. That is one of the story that I do like reading in the bible because it gives me encouragement any time that the storm of life try to raise its ugly head.

The Bible says " It is not by Might nor by Power, but it is God who is on our side always".

My today story will be taking from the book of Judges 6 - 8: Most of us might have come across the story of how Gideon who is from the smallest tribe of Israel, where he used 300 foot soldiers to defeat all his enemies by the hand and the grace of God upon his life. Although the story is long but I will like to summarize it a bit here.

Gideon was a nobody in the land of Israel and his father was an idol worshipers and his family linage was the least and smallest of the tribe of Israel. He also came from a poor family background from the weakest tribe of Manasseh, and He was the least in his family.. But at that time it came to pass when the children of Israelite where suffering and hiding from their enemies because they were servant and slaves to the children of the Midianites because of their disobedient to God's word and His commandment.

But when God decided to safe His people from the hand of their enemies, He decided to pick up and use a man from poor background of Israel to deliver is children from the hands of their enemies. With that God ask Gideon to gather all the able men that are ready for war and Gideon gather all the able men but God refuse that number and ask him to give them a test by taking them to the river bank to drink water and pick out only those who lick the water with their tongue like dogs from the river, which were about 300 men.

I only have to bring out this story to show you the mightiness of God in the midst of His children. The Bible say " Do not trust in horses or chariots or weapon because them will surely fail you, but put your trust in God alone and He is the one that can safe you and give you victory over your enemies.

Christians or Believer in Christ will always be victorious in any circumstances and challenges that do come across their ways in live as long as they do know their God and trust in Him totally.

A song writer says
Trust and Obey, For there is no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Now Ask Yourself These Questions:

Some trust in Chariots and in their weapon, but who will you trust for victory?
Some trust in their government, but who will you trust for provision?
Some believe and trust others for their daily needs, but who will you trust?
Some fight physically to get victory, but who will you trust for your victory?
Can any man or woman gives you total victory and freedom in Life?

Why not put your trust in God Almighty and see who wins the victory in life battle. Moses said to the children of Israelite to stand till and see that salvation of the Lord at the red sea; for the Egyptian you see today, you shall see them no more.
