RE: Is it OK to profit off the Gospel on Steemit?

in #christianity7 years ago (edited)

I just wanted to touch on your points and add a few things. Hope you don't mind. Upvoted and followed by the way :)

-Absolutely. For example, I have opted out of rewards when I share materials from other brethren. The primary objective is for the gospel to go forth. If I come across am edifying blog that I believe worthy of a share, best believe I'm going to try and do it. If I don't add anything to it, I will decline rewards.

-Yes, this is important. If you had the cure for cancer, would you only use one of the available tools to share it? Of course not. It's important as some people are not as connected to the Internet and God will most assuredly send preachers to minister to these people.

-Why not both? Must the two be mutually exclusive. I think not. As you duly noted from 1 Tim 5:18, the worker is worthy of their wages.

False gospel believers on the other hand are a different matter entirely. These are the ones teaching the things they ought not for filthy lucres sake. They have their reward. The reward of the saints, on the other hand, is eternal and not subject to any decay or loss. Not by moths and not by thieves. It has been forever secured in the covenant of grace. Amen!

Sort:

Amen.

Great commentary! Thanks for commenting. Following you back. Have a busy day of church today but will check out your page when I can.
