RE: YOU ARE FAR STRONGER THAN YOUR ENEMY

in #christianity7 years ago

There's a lot of presumptuous thinking here. Who's to say that God is vindicating you right now? God granted Israel victory of their enemies but God doesn't promise that to the church. Jesus told those who would follow him to pick up their crosses and follow him. That message doesn't resonate with people who want blessings and prosperity.

I apologize for taking so long to reply. I'm a believer of Christ Jesus and his word. In the older Bible times, Israel's enemies were mostly the nation's that seeked their hurt of which God gave them victory. Despite these victories they still had challenges in various forms. In Jesus' time, it wasn't exactly the same, they were not warring with various nations. Taking up one's cross to follow depicted that it wasn't going to be all rosy following him (Jesus) . There would definitely be challenges. Despite these challenges however, God's world still promises us victory of our enemies and challenges.

I appreciate your comments. They help me probe deeper into God's word and appreciate how real his peace and love is to me. It's not just about reading, writing or speaking, but also about experience. Sometimes the experiences can be deep and not easily to explain.
