You said some ridiculous things:

No, it doesn't mean that at all. God doesn't promise us promotions, prosperity, health, wealth, position, or public respect.

I'm 59. I work part time for an animal shelter as a cage cleaner and adoption specialist. No one's going to offer me a better paying job with more hours.

I used to have my own business. I used to buy software on eBay and sell it on Amazon. But I had too many dishonest people install the software, return it, and claim it was defective. I was forced to refund their money. I couldn't resell the software because the buyer had activated it. So dishonest people destroyed my part time business. So I'm not having prosperity coming my way with my business either.
