Is the God of Islam the God of Christianity?

in #christianity7 years ago

Some people believe that God is the same for every religion. That there is one "universal god" for all religions. However, you can't have different descriptions of a different child and then just find similarities like "well they both have eyes. They both have 2 ears. They both speak english. Therefore, these people are actually talking about the same person." It goes much deeper than that.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Hi there! Hope you enjoyed our short video. Just want to let you know that God loves you. You are special and created with a wonderful purpose for life.

God bless you!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Are you familiar with the argument from design, ontological argument, and/or the cosmological argument?

@grocket hi there, yes I am familiar with all of them :) God bless you!

Ive pondered about these for years.. my conclusion was they posit three seperate conclusions. The problem of evil bugs me too. It seems to me that God, and deities in general, were invented by people to help our minds cope with unintelligible events.

Life to me is an absurd situation, but I try to be a good person and make the most of it because im here so may as well.

What I would be interested in is if you had any suggested reading material concerning the utility of religion. I have no doubt for many it makes them feel good, gives a sense of purpose, or assurance, whatever it may be, but through the course of time I question whether religion has been a boon to society.

The idea of eternal recurrence I like, though daunting.

Thanks for any thoughts!

The describtion about god in islam and christianity totally different, in islam describtion about god refer in surah al-ikhlas surah 112

Thank you! God bless you

"I bear witness that - there is no allah, but God... And Muhammad is a messenger of an fallen Angel, who never told his name to Mohammad".

Thank you for your motivational writings. It has been a nice article :)

whatever religion we have, as long as we respect each other and try to learn more about other religion without being bias is the best thing we can do. But I believe that only ourselves can save our soul. And I have no against to the other religions as long as it teaches us to be good and to do all good things on earth. Because there are no bad religions, there are only bad people.

Thanks! God bless you!

Sorry but, you believe a lie... You believe that only ourselves can save our soul = there is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death...

Snap! I have tried to explain that to my coworkers so many times, it almost requires using another language to get the correct context.

Nice one @n00k13 ! God bless you!

No. To Christians Jesus is God.

God bless you for this. Shalom

So, you don't think that Yahweh (AKA the burning bush), in the Old Testament, worshiped by Jewish folk, is the same God either?

Thank you! God bless you

Why you want to ask religious people for that, did you not know that all religions are man-made ?...
