Where there is no love, there is no point. Let everything you do be done with love. We may argue whether or not that’s possible. Who loves doing dishes? Who loves cleaning up, right?

But I don’t think it’s the task we’re supposed to love. It’s being able to help that we’re supposed to love. I don’t have to love doing the dishes in order to love the fact that doing them will make someone else feel better.

A lot of times we think that because we don’t love it, we can’t do it with love. That’s just not true. We tend to think that if we’re not in love with the task, we shouldn’t even have to attempt doing it. However, I believe this verse means that we do things out of love.

I may be wrong, but I’m sure that out of all that Jesus was able to do on Earth, washing the disciples’ feet wasn’t done because He loved washing feet. And that is the point. Setting an example of love and sacrifice was more important than anything to Christ.

What does it mean for you to be able to do for others? It means serving, serving means sacrifice and sacrifice is love. At the end of the day, if you’re not willing to sacrifice, some would argue whether or not you’re even willing to love.

And where there is no love, there is no point… is there?

And do everything with love. 1 Corinthians 16:14

Thanks for sharing such great words. Where there is love there is also a sense of peace of mind, and to be able to have that it is a big blessing.
