The Bible describes that Salvation is received throught faith by grace (Eph. 2:8).
It is unobjectionable!
But before this there is something that I should necessarily do.
Just keep reading to know what it is!
What you should do necessarily first to get saved is simply to know who you are. Without this you would never be able to come near Salvation. It is not who you think of yourself you are, nor how high position you are in the gorvernment office, nor how rich you are, but it concerns with what the Bible describes about you, and at what position you are standing before God. In other word, that who you are in the sight of God, and what God said about you.
Let's see what the Bible says about the humankind.
"The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one", Psalms 14:1-3.
You and me are included!
"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent". Luke 15:4-7.
Jesus compared us with the lost sheep that can not save himelf, but needs a saviour who can save him. We all are lost gloping about in the darkness not knowing where to go. We need someone who can lead us out of the darkness.
"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned". Romans 5:12
According to the passages above all the people in the world are sinner in the sight of God.
There are much more verses which talks about that we are sinner in the sight of God. I don't think I need to have them all here.
We the human are all sinner because of one man's disobedience, including you and me.
In order that we might get saved we must first necessarily accept what the Bible said about us. We must confess that we are sinner before God.
If we claim to be righteous without accepting what the Bible says about us, we shall not be able to come to Jesus who have not come to save the righteous, but sinners.
Claimimg to be righteous before God simply means to reject Jesus who have not come to save the righteous, but the sinner.
"On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinner". Mark 2:17
Unawareness of our sinful condition makes the grace of God meaningless even it's so precious itself. Actually grace is designed for sinner who need to repent, not for righteous who doesn't need to repent.
Therefore in order that we might get saved, we must know that we are sinners first as the Bible says so. To know who we are (sinner) will lead us to look for someone who can save you from the slavery of sin. To know what we are(sinner) in the sight of God is the step to Salvation.

You need to understand that salvation is a gift that you must consciously accept it in order to have it. You need to repent of your sins and accept what Jesus did on the cross as payment for your sins. After you're saved you'll receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will convict you of the sins you're committing and you'll need to give them up.
That's right! See my point? We need to know that we are sinner who can not save ourselves, but need someone can save us from the bondage of sin, and then we shall not trust ourselves by trying to do good work like Pharase, but trust someone alse(Jesus Christ) who can save us from the bondage of sin. That's my point. Thank you. God bless you.
Only his mercy can give us the pace we need!
