"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

I created this drawing to be printed on a business-sized card I could hand out to people when I didn't have time to share the gospel. Or just wanted to show them something cool.

I ask people, "Do you like art?" and then I tell them I'm an artist, and give them the card.

On the left, there is the grim reaper, symbolizing death, which is what the man is working for as he hauls buckets of slop around. The wages of sin is death.

But he wonders, "Can there be more than this?"

He's tired of being a slave to his sinful passions. Day after day, he toils endlessly under the grueling heat, hauling buckets of mud and filth. And for what?

To die.

It wears on him, but he doesn't know any better. This is all he's ever known. Yet a yearning for freedom brews up inside him with every passing sunset. Just for a moment, as he pauses to wipe the stinging sweat off his brow, he sees something--no, someone.

A Man holding a gift. This gift--expensive, yet completely free--is his ticket to freedom. The Man holding it, plain and cloaked, somehow looks even more extravagant than the gift itself. The Reaper reminds him that he has been a slave so long, he shouldn't entertain fanciful notions of the Gift-Giver.

"Ain't no such thing as a free lunch, boy! Keep working for me! At least you know what to expect."

The Working Man thinks it over: he hadn't had a raise in years. Enough with the pig-slop.

It is time to take this gift and finally live.

May you also take the gift...and live! And if you've taken it, cherish it, and share it with others.

Great message, and I applaud your effort. It's a bit harder to throw out a nice looking business card or ignore an interesting piece of art, so maybe it will hang around in their wallet or pocket a bit longer.

Indeed. Or they might even pass it along to someone else, which would be just as cool.

Love the drawing. I think it's a great idea to put it on the card as well. It will certainly catch their eye

Thanks. That's the hope. I've given out quite a few already, and have gotten a good reaction, mostly.

Awesome job bro. God bless you

Thanks, again my friend. Appreciate your support.
