Today's Word in Art message will be on the loaves and fishes miracle of the New Testament. Here is an original painting I did, a 16" x 20" acrylic on canvas, illustrating the basket with the five loaves and two fish that Jesus miraculously fed to five thousand people.
When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted."--John 6:12
Jesus said, "Let nothing be wasted." What in your life do you look at and wonder, "Why did that happen?"However, God promises to work it all out for good, as a believer in Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:28)
"No trial or suffering is happening to you," as my pastor wisely preached to us one Sunday morning. "It's happening for you."
God won't allow sufferings and trials in your life to go to waste. They are there to draw you close to Him. To see His amazing power at work, so you will realize His sufficiency and incredible love for you.
Let nothing be wasted.
Have a blessed day,

That is so true that things don't happen to us, but for us. And it is such a blessing to be able to see that while in the midst of a trial, for it gives us hope to know we are in God's capable hands the whole way through.
Yes, I confess I don't always see that until after the trial is over, and sometimes I've worried and fretted. But if you can have peace in the midst of the trial, you know you've passed the test with flying colors!
