What if something you don't usually do takes control over you? It may be something that eventually becomes an idol in your life. God gave us the free will to do what we want. But it's up to us how can we manage it. That's why when we became Christians, the fruit of the spirit manifests in us. But there are times when our habits controls us and we don't notice that our world already revolves around our habits. Eventually it becomes our idols. Doing something we love is not bad but when it already takes the place of God, then that is already called your idol. There are different kinds of idols in our lives. It may be our habits, vices, or even materials things. Anything that takes the place of God is our idols. Putting God first in everything is the best way to get rid of the idols in our life. When we put God first in our lives, we can control what controls us. We can be victorious in everything we do because we have the power to control it. Allow ourselves to be filled with the fullness of God because this compels us to shove everything aside and focus on God.
