It is sad that a church organization and the brethren are so religious like the Pharisees of the time of Jesus!
Jas 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
So many make so many rules. People that adhere to our rules and fit our mold are OK and as you said ,”revered”.
Even when women caught in adultery was brought to Jesus, He didn’t condemn her, He only admonished to go and sin no more. He told the crowd, for the person without sin to cast the first stone.
Jesus was writing in the sand. The Bible doesn’t say what He was writing, but perhaps He was writing the sins of the accusers. But they all left, the oldest first.
These folks that condemn her have their own sins of pride, self righteousness and hearts truly not filled with the Love of God!
It will be good for her to forgive these would be Christians and find a fellowship with true Christ like believers!
