Trust in God

Life, no matter how long you live is only temporary.

Psalms 118:8-9 (KJV) says it is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

Well, for starters, no man lives forever; so your confidence in man (power) and princes (authority) will fail, it will expire. Putting confidence in man is like resting on a shadow. Man can and will always disappoint, change and be unfaithful; and it becomes a curse for a man to trust in another (Jeremiah 17:5), because he will always without fail, be disappointed. No matter how high in authority or power that man is, you are trusting in vain if you put your confidence in him.

Man is weak and faithless. He does not even understand the next minutes of his existence. He is selfish and deceitful but not God. God is Almighty, benevolent, never failing, always living, eternal and faithful. He is the AMEN, the Finality of All THINGS!

The graciousness of God cannot be fathomed. A man’s word is his bound and his agreement with you is in ink. God’s Word is His son and His agreement with you is His blood.

While man makes a breakable promise, God made an irrefutable covenant that can never be replaced.

God is trustworthy. It may not appear to be so in the face of seemingly unbearable situations and challenges but He is. You need to get to the actualization/place where your trust in God is not conditioned but total. Like Job always confess… “all the days of my appointed time will I wait, until my change come…” (Job 14:14b).

Trust in God. If He will not do it, leave it undone. Let go and lay everything and everyone out before the Lord God. Through thick and thin, God will not leave you.
