The world is not getting better as we move to the last days. This life is getting harder and the future is not brighter, but as a Child of God, God has already prepared more than enough for you that you can only get better and stand firm in the deserts and in famine.
It is not about your environment. The Word in Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) says that:
They that wait on the Lord would be shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
How to Prosper in the Desert
The life of Abraham, Isaac, Joseph and a host of others in the Bible testify that it is possible to prosper wherever you go. This prosperity does not however come from laying low and hoping for the best.
There are two laws you must observe to activate God's provision in your life. These are.
1. Divine Mandate- Joshua 1:1-9
The first law to observe to prosper is the Law of Divine Mandate
What is a mandate?
Sometimes we just wake up and without proper guidance, jump into things. Success is not a matter of chance. A mandate is a divine approval or authority to venture into something, a legitimate right which empowers you for a specific assignment, the task, the scope, when and how to carry it out.
Otherwise, whatever you set out to do will fail because you would end up in the wrong place. Joshua though next in line to Moses did not take it upon himself to lead until God gave him authority and instructions.
The result of getting approval gives you divine breakthrough. Joshua 1:4-5.
God cannot back you up when he has not sent you. In** Jeremiah 1:5, **we can see God has plans for each and every one of us before we were even born.
God has already equipped you for the assignment he has for you. Moses was given a staff and Aaron was appointed to accompany him as a speaker. You don't have the capacity for something else.
When you get the Divine mandate, you see signs and wonders....the disciples when out as Jesus instructed them to and signs and wonders followed them and when Jesus left earth, he told them not to leave Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came to equip them fully for the work of God. See also **Exodus 3:9-12. **
If you are heading the wrong way in life, you would sponsor yourself. The work of your hands that God would bless is the one that he has commissioned you. Psalms 92:4. Sometimes we like to have our own way and tell God what we want instead of for God's will. Remember Balaam in Numbers. When the King of Moab first sent for him, God told him not to go. When they came again offering rewards, he went back to inquire from God because he wanted God to change his mind. His heart wanted to go before his prayer so God let him and then sent an angel to hinder his journey.
Success in anything we do is a direct function of the Divine mandate. In Luke 5:1-7 Simon followed the instruction of Jesus to let down his net in waters that had no fish had a huge catch. We also have Psalm 105:26,27 which speaks of the marvels done by Moses and Aaron in a spiritual wasteland. See also Matthew 10:5-10
2. The law of Good Courage. Joshua 1: 2-6.
Courage is not the absence of fear, but boldness in the face of fear and opposition. Why do we need courage? Although you have the mandate, there will be disappointment, betrayal, difficulties, obstacles, opposition etc because success is not easy, hence the need for courage to execute divine assignments. Numbers 13:27-30
The life and struggles of Paul is an example of courage. Courage is the Will power that drives the mandate into success. Where there is a will, there is a way. Ecclesiastics 11:4 Luke 14:16
The conclusion is that when you align yourself to God's will, you will be like a tree planted by the river whose leaves are green all season and bring forth fruit at the right time.

This is the usual nonsense about how to prosper. The New Testament doesn't promise us prosperity. Paul had been poor, hungry, and naked. He was severely beaten multiple times. He's not the example you should use for prosperity. Most of our blessings as Christians are spiritual in nature.
Thank you for the comment but it appears you misunderstand the message. People often equate prosperity with money. I'm not taking about money. I talking about prosperity in everything- family, health, joy, the little projects you work on - as achieve your purpose in life.
It is God's desire that you prosper in everything as your soul prospers. You speak of Paul being poor but would you say he was unsuccessful in his mission? No. Did you ever read of Paul begging for food? No. Because God provided everything he needed to do his work and money wasn't part of what he needed. God's blessings on the works of your hands is prosperity. Paul prospered because he had the divine mandate, called by Jesus to minister and he walked on that path.
