RE: SPIRITUAL FOOD 4 THOUGHT - TWO CONFLICTING VIEWS ABOUT CHILDREN

in #christianity6 years ago

My Dad had 6 sisters and 1 brother. Within 16 years. He always said that the blessings were overrated, ha, and as the Fifth child and first boy he didn't get much time to do anything but work on the farm and dodge his sisters. He and my uncle were born right together in line and only 18 months apart. My uncle was killed along with 4 of his 5 kids in a car wreck in '61. The last one drowned 8 years later. I still keep in contact with my aunt.

My mom's family was less joined it seems. 5 kids in her family and they really lived in poverty from the stories.

I never felt like the curse was even a question in our family of 3 boys. I only had 2 boys so I certainly never had anything but rewards.

Why did I talk about the older generation when you brought up the younger generation. I wanted to consider where we come from because that's where the little blessings are headed.

So, now we are God's children. Born as a result of a promise. His son became a curse for our salvation.

And we are all brothers and sisters.

I love your lessons for our spiritual walk.

Wow. I like how you took the scenic route there! Don't you love it now that you're adopted?

Yes, with a plate at the table. And all the fixin's. The children of Abraham and heirs as a result of faith in the promise. Life is good.
