As humans, we are prone to looking for this extraordinary experiences to be assured that God is with us. But these are not heaven’s default mode of keeping us in the storm. You may never sight an angel, your goat may never speak a word, you may not catch an angelic fish, but you can be assured that you can always have peace in the storm. You can be very assured.

Here is heaven’s most definite means of keeping you rooted in peace through the storms of life. It is contained in the book of Ephesians 3 and we will consider it line by line, precept by precept from verse 16:
16 May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. (AMP)
MAY HE GRANT:
A grant is usually a gift, contribution or subsidy in cash or kind for a specific purpose and is non-repayable. If you receive a grant from a government in form of money, the government expects you to do certain things with it but they do not expect a repayment. The grant will usually be withdrawn if used for a purpose for which it was not approved.
God here is offering us a grant from his vault of glory. The purpose of this grant is for us to use it in meeting every need that may arise in our lives. This grant is not something we can repay – no. Never!
What is painful is that we have a supply of riches, yet we go hungry. We have a supply of strength, yet we go weary. We have a supply of joy, yet we remain in sorrow. We have a supply of light, but we remain engulfed in darkness.
You have a grant of the peace and life of heaven. But whether you use that grant is a different thing altogether.
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that he would grant ME, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in MY inner man; 17 that Christ may dwell in MY heart by faith; that I (….please put your name), being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that I might be filled with all the fullness of God. Eph 3:14-19
