John 11
[1]NOW A certain man named Lazarus was ill. He was of Bethany, the village where Mary and her sister Martha lived.
[2]This Mary was the one who anointed the Lord with perfume and wiped His feet with her hair. It was her brother Lazarus who was [now] sick.
John 11:2-3
[2]This Mary was the one who anointed the Lord with perfume and wiped His feet with her hair. It was her brother Lazarus who was [now] sick.
[3]So the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, he whom You love [so well] is sick.
John 11
[5]Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. [They were His dear friends, and He held them in loving esteem.]
The ones whom Jesus loves can and would still experience the troubles of life. God loves his children and there is no doubt about that but as long as they are in this world, they are under the control of the power of darkness and would suffer the tribulations of the world. However, as the beloved ones of God, whenever the darkness of this life comes against you, know and understand that God himself will use the problems that we encounter to glorify himself. God will use it to promote his own glory!
God uses troubles in the life of his loved ones to manifest and display his works. This is why God expects us to gladly glory in our troubles because it is the means through which the power of God and the strength of God rests and dwells upon us as God's beloved ones!
