The explanation for this passage on BibleGateway is great too, specifically telling us "...women with consciences burdened with sin, are a ready prey to those who promise ease of conscience if they will but follow their erroneous teachings." and "Christian women today have need to constantly pray for spiritual intuition enabling them to turn immediately from voices alien to the clearly revealed Word of truth." Why make the distinction between men and woman? Because according to the bible woman are obviously inferior to men.
I recommend everyone to read the bible. Especially those who proclaim to be religious. The bible is one of the most crazy works of fiction there is and some people believe it to be the actual word of an all powerful, all knowing invisible man in the sky. It's time to grow up and rid us of those childish fantasies.
