We went for a drive with the kids to check out some of the light setups around Brisbane tonight - I took some photos for steemit along the way.
The photo quality isn't the best sorry, it was just my phone and the lights were intensely bright :
I had no idea how full-on Christmas light displays had gotten in Brisbane..
Lots of streets around Beenleigh were completely locked down with huge mobs wandering and state emergency service volunteers coordinating traffic and people - insanity.
We missed out on a lot of the bigger displays because of the street closures and crowds , the kids aren't great in crowds and it just wasn't worth the stress for blinkenlights tbh .

Man, I recognize a couple of those from years back when we used to go light hunting in Brisbane. The most competitive ones were in the Carseldine train station/TAFE area. Cool to see they're still going hard almost a decade later.

Those are some gorgeous lights, thanks for sharing! As I type this I'm lying in bed, waiting for my daughter to fall asleep so Santa can come. Looks like it might be a long wait.
