December 13th - Anybody want some humble pie?

A times we are so full of ourselves there is no space for anything else...

Its good practice, once in a while, to cut ourselves down to size with some good, honest, detailed introspection.

We may be surprised what we find, what we need to let go, and how liberating it is.

An open and teachable mind can be expanded whereas a closed one, that thinks it already knows everything, shrinks...

This is the thirteenth way of serving in 25 ways over 25 days leading up to Christmas.

Its easy:

1. watch the short clip
2. follow the instructions
3. make it happen
4. then tweet or otherwise share your results using... #lighttheworld... encourage others to participate
5. 25 days is enough consistency to form a new habit...

If every day this December we are slightly more mindful of others we may find ourselves with a new great habit to continue into the new year and beyond.

THREE SIMPLE WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

• Share an experience with loved ones about a time you had to rely on God’s help.
• Think of a time you were wrong about someone. Share your experience with a loved one.
• No matter your age, ask a parent how to deal with a current challenge in your life.

OTHER WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

• Learn to laugh at yourself. Start by posting an embarrassing childhood picture.
• Do some bragging today—about someone else.
• Discover how we can learn humility from children.
• Ask someone for some honest advice on a personal problem you’re facing.
• Be open to learning something new.
