Christopher Tucker 34 was found guilty of murder in the first degree of his 19 year old girlfriend Tara Serino. In 2017 Tucker killed Serino after she turned down his marriage proposal. After Tucker asked the question and she said no he told other reporters that he snapped. He strangled her which broke her neck and he beat her with a hatchet. Once he was done with his violent attacks he wrapped Serinio in a rug and left her dead wrapped in that rug while he fled the state. Tucker fled to Illinois and police arrested him on Halloween. He was caught by a farmer when he broke into his combine while the famer was inside and called authorities. He sat at Champaign county jail while waiting for the extradition to Pennsylvania.
Reports say that Serino left with Tucker a little past midnight on Monday morning. She told her parents that she would check in with them to let them know how she was doing but she never did. After a day of not hearing from Fred Serino her father called the state police. Police arrived at the home but did not have anything allowing them to enter.
The next day , Wednesday Christopher Tucker's father had arrived at Fred Serino's house and wanted to tell him that he had gotten a phone call from a hospital in Illinois that his son was picked and he was in possession of items of hers that he wanted to give to her / them. That same day Fred Serino reported his daughter to be missing and the police department titled her as endangered.
While in custody they began to question Christpher Tucker about Tara Serino and he stated to them that he had asked her to marry him and she declined it. She told him that she was sleeping with other men and that she should just kill her.
Christopher Tucker told detectives that he strangled her until he thought she was dead. He also poked her eyes out , snapped her neck and hit her with the hatchet until he knew she was dead. After his confession the police in Illinois asked Hamburg pa police to go to his residence. Two troopers had gone into the house, found her body and then left to get a warrant to search the rest of the home.
Autopsy showed that Tuckers confession matched the injuries but the injuries were so bad they had to get a dental report to properly identify the body.
