Today I am going to take a look at the 1996 film "The Rock" starring the late Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris.. This is a fantastic action movie, the basic storyline is that a group of soldiers have gone rouge with there general and are threatening a nerve gas attack on San Francisco - A Terrible thing to do but as you find out The General (Ed harris) has a very good reason for doing this...
Alcatraz is a great place for this to be set from, and without giving to much away it ties in nicely with the characters. I find it a bit hard to take Nicolas cage seriously as an actor after 10 million memes but he does play his parts well in general, Sean Connery is great here, im not a bond fan as such so this is the movie I really associate him with, Ed Harris steals the show and the other supporting actors are well cast.
Great 90s action movie, well worth a watch.

Perhaps the only Michael Bay film that has any value to me. :) But I loved it as a kid.
Me to0, I was 13 when this came out and loved it then also! I feel a little old thinking about it lol.

Of course, how can one go wrong with Connery? He was tremendous, especially as he got older. I wasn't the biggest of Bond fans but his work after was incredible.
