I am going to be talking about the movie Munna. It features Adesuwa Wellington and it was directed by Kevin Ikem Nwafor. This is the first time I'm hearing of this director but we've been hearing about this movie for a while now. Munna tells the story of child trafficking, so there was this particular child named Munna who was almost trafficked but then escaped and eventually decided to take revenge on the people who hurt her and our family members.

Aside from Adesuwa, the only other face I could recognize was Onyeka Uyenu and Faz the bad guy also made an appearance in the movie as well. Fax only appears in one scene.

What I like about this movie

Munna felt like two different movies because the first part had me so excited. There is the first part which was shot in Nigeria and then there was the second part which was shot in the US and the there was huge difference in it. After all, you have this wonderful layout, acting, picture, and grading. You have very good child actors which I appreciate as well. The sound was amazing to my ears. It was so good to listen to. It was very clean. The sound design as well was very enjoyable.

My opinion

We had all these things going on and building up to what was supposed to be the peak of the film. So, we're getting excited. We're enjoying the good storytelling. The editing is also good as well. They are transitioning easily, they're building up to something but that was the downfall of the movie because it built up to nothing.

Even by the time they were going to transition from Nigeria to finally 15 years later, Munna is now grown up into the character of Adesuwa. The transition in the Edit scene was amazing. So, it was like it was about to go down. Nothing went down nowhere.

It was almost as if the moment that we locate that to the US and pick up the beats of the movie from there, the movie just took a nosedive.

Badly shots, the sound was not that good. The graphics and the effects were the fights were not good. We were scammed because the fight scene was not what they portray in the trailer. The fighting was barely 10 seconds of the entire film. Muna's character was supposed to be this bad guy but there was no excitement from the character in terms of what she could do.

The fighting well shots are not well shot and directed. It looks like a low-budget Hollywood film.

I just have to give a shout-out to the lead male, the white guy did a good job. He and Adesuwa had good chemistry which would have been surprising if they didn't because it is Adesuwa.

What got me through the movie

The only thing that got me through the movie was my love for Adesuwa and the chemistry between Munna and the lead male but when it comes down to it's. It had the potential to be something but I just ended up being nothing much.

So should you watch this movie, I would say that it depends. It wasn't horrible but you will probably get bored at some points
