El árbol de Curarí, también llamado Flor Amarillo, es un árbol muy parecido al Araguaney, es natural de las zonas tropicales de Centroamérica y Suramérica. El Curarí da nombre a la población de Curarigua, en Lara, Municipio Torres.
Es un árbol de 8 a 10 metros de altura. Florece entre los meses de febrero y junio, dejando una alfombra amarilla cuando sus flores caen luego de permanecer 4 días en el árbol.
Da buena sombra y sus raíces sirven de protección al suelo.
Es parte de nuestro patrimonio natural, y no son muchos los que quedan en nuestra ciudad.
Que las próximas generaciones puedan verlos, no sólo en fotos.
The tree of Curarí, also called Yellow Flower, is a tree very similar to the Araguaney, it is natural of the tropical zones of Central and South America. The Curarí gives name to the population of Curarigua, in Lara, Municipality Torres.
It is a tree 8 to 10 meters high. It blooms between the months of February and June, leaving a yellow carpet when its flowers fall after remaining 4 days in the tree.
It gives good shade and its roots serve as protection to the soil.
It is part of our natural heritage of Lara State, Venezuela, and not many are left in our city.
May the next generations see them, not only in photos.
