Good morning my dear steemit family and friends. Today is Tuesday and this is my entry for today's photography contest authored by @juliank. The theme is cityscape photography.
This photo was taken inside the office early this morning at the open window. My work place is along the city and beside the church. This is the St. William Parish Church in City of San Fernando, La Union, as you can see in the photo the tower that looks like castle is the Bell Tower of church, inside of it there is a big bell which is rung in a church for a variety of church purposes, and can be heard outside the building. Traditionally they were used to call worshipers to the church for a communal service, and to announce times of daily prayer, called the canonical hours. They are also rung on special occasions such as a wedding, or a funeral service. The ringing of church bells, in the Christian tradition, was also believed to drive out demons.
When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.
