In "Night Omsk", the last photo was Mayakovsky's night cinema. About him, more precisely about this place and I will tell a little. Let's start with the "Daylight Mayakovsky"
I think that no matter how beautiful the place would be, without history it is empty and not alive. And when you know what kind of place, what was on it before and how it all evolved, then the picture changes around. For example, like this.
To date, the Mayakovsky movie theater is one of the oldest in Omsk. In the past a collage with "ghosts of the past" was used fragments of a photo from the archive of A. Ya. Kobryts, made 5 years after the opening of the cinema.
Since then, almost nothing has changed.
And the fact that nothing around was built, most likely affected the history of this place.
The fact is that on the site of the square near the cinema in the middle of the 18th century the Kadyshevsky cemetery appeared and it did not last long. But the presence of once burial places on this place determined the specifics of modern buildings.
After 1829, the territory of the former cemetery was divided into a park, referred to as the City Grove. It had a radial layout, along the perimeter it was planted with trees creating alleys, in the center was a platform with a round flower bed, cased shrubs and trees.
In 1896, thanks to the efforts of Elena Nikolaevna Sannikova, wife of the military governor of the Akmola region N. Sannikov, the abandoned public garden was transformed, new alleys, paths, and platforms appeared. The garden was called Sannikovsky.
In this period, approximately from the same angle as the photo above, this place looked like this (photo 1890-1905)
After the departure of Elena Nikolaevna in 1905, the retired Kollezhsky Adviser Andrei Nikolayevich Ufimtsev took up his garden. He, at the request and with the support of the residents of the city, converted this place into a kindergarten.
He set up benches, installed two latrines, a tea room, moved and set the arches from the former fire garden. Equipped the territory with slides, swings, gymnastic devices. And in addition he built a two-storey wooden building in the form of a pavilion, on the second floor of which there was a children's reading room.
In addition, the garden was additionally planted with trees, expanded alleys and moved to the garden triumphal gates, erected "in memory of the journey of the Heir CESAREVICH, now reigning Emperor of the EMPEROR. The idea of moving the gate arose with the goal of preserving them as a monument in honor of the event for the decoration of the kindergarten with a valuable monument. "
In Soviet times, the garden was renamed the Garden of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions with the preservation of the garden structure. And a little later he became a garden to them. Kuibyshev
The garden lasted until 1954, when the Mayakovsky movie theater was built in its place, built according to the standard project of that time. At the same time, at the entrance, a round flowerbed was reconstructed, probably recreated in its original place and preserved in the "cut-off" form to the present day.
