That has to be the worst thing about photographing Russia!
In Europe most electric lines are underground, but unfortunately Russia is moree American style stringing writes from telephone poles, and it's even worse in the cities... Plus the electric buses, trans, and trams, fill up even more open sky...
The last time they started to clean the wires are superfluous. And trolley buses and especially trams are good from the point of view of ecology.
