After doing a quick search of Steemit posts, I came across a few posts that were good old “FOR SALE” ads.
Here are a few of them, just to give examples of how some of our fellow Steemians have used their (social network) walls to promote their private/business sales:

So there we have seven examples of Steemians using Steemit to advertise what they are selling!
Utilizing this social network in the same manner that millions of other social networkers are already using other social networks out there!
So the wheel has been invented, just have to use it!
I hope that these examples open up some new views and concepts as to what all social networks can be used for, how we the “people/members” can use our walls for our everyday business needs, no matter whether it be a formal business or a private sale.

I think this is a good idea, thereby we can promote Steem as a medium of commerce just like Bitcoin...upvoted and following @classifieds
The limits are only where we draw the line or when we "think it can't be done", everything is possible, this is just one aspect of this social network that is yet to take off.
As the number of members/users grow so too shall the variety of posts and usage grow and expand into areas that include business 101 and who knows what all else.
Steemit offers boundless opportunities to all of us.
Just wait and see, it is only a matter of time!

I can go and give 1,001 examples and links to FBook posts and Instagram Posts, but that isn't the point here.
The point is to get people realizing all the potential that Steemit has and how we can use Steemit in the same way other social networkers are using other social networks.
It is inevitable, as the community here grows so too shall the utilization of this social network grow and reach into areas of business 101 and God only knows what all else that this platform can be used for.

It is a new way of connecting. Also with actual making a business if you are focused.
The potential is big and we'll see it in the next year or two how it grows.
