The reason why the street is mostly dirty is because we believe others will do it. After all you are not the only one passing on a daily basis. So why can’t the others keep it clean as well?
When it comes to our own surroundings we usually have no problem taking care of them. But we see a problem with the street, because a lot of people make use of it so they should see to its cleanliness as well.
Sometimes some of us actually do it with good intentions, but when we see that we are the only ones taking the initiative and others are not doing the same, we back down. If you have been doing it please continue to do so. You are not cleaning ut up for anyone, but yourself. And if you do not have the habit of cleaning the street because it is not your home, please cultivate the habit of doing so. If the road to your house looks dirty, the idea visitors will have is that your house is the same as well. It is easy to make conclusions from what is obvious outside your home.
Those were my thoughts as I went about my cleaning activities for the day.
