The more disturbing thing about the "carbon tax" is the fact people don't understand the legal precedence it opens.
We are carbon-based-lifeforms. We exhale carbon. Passing a "carbon tax" paves the way for the possibility of taxation on breathing.
Not to mention it's just oil 2.0
Obviously it is taxation that favors the rich, due to them paying the least relative to what they have.
Carbon excretion does not closely follow personal wealth in a 1:1 ratio.
Carbon tax is closer to taxation that taxes everyone, unrelated to their wealth, and therefore will be a small expense for the rich, and a big expense for the poor and the average.
