Airlines taxing in UK

in #climatechange5 years ago

This is not the right approach.
1 Tax-free flight for residents a year assuming they all can’t afford it. Seriously? Is the vast majority of UK citizens a working-class or a middle and upper class. Clearly they can afford to pay taxes, they just choose not to fly.

That 1%! These are the people who need it the most in order to bring more value to the economy. These are people in working-class who barely can afford to go abroad, but they do!
To see their families. Isn’t that what’s important in life?
Keeping the bonds strong?

Facing the pollution is a great idea, but respectfully to all those hard-working people. The tax from aviation perhaps should be used for investing in technologies that are carbon neutral.
The £5m investment into technologies is nothing when revenue for some of the airlines reach £1.7billion. (This is just one )Think of the possibilities of turning tax from it to create opportunities for many professionals who can work on those technologies, and maybe even reverse what’s been already made. !!!

Not 2050 for carbon-neutral aviation, because we are already in danger zone, the line has been crossed many years ago, and the climate change is a real thing, which will affect us if we don’t proceed now!!!
