It's just a kid being a kid.

how do you know? do you have more info about that video? mind sharing?

the video starts with the kid already being chased, do you know what happened before? that triggered the chase?

It's not the states right or responsibility to interfere in minors.

even if they commit a crime??

I'm from Brazil and "kids" under 18yo cannot be prosecuted. Drug cartels use a lot of "kids" as their soldiers.

Sort:

my point was not the drug cartels, cops or the government. authority is something we learn since we are born, there is no escape, parents have authority over their kids.

my point is that kids still don't have maturity to have their own opinions, and end up being influenced by adults. a lot of times they are doing what they were told to do by adults.

that kid on that video should actually be in a sports field, not in a protest.

authority is not the same as ownership.

mishaps happen

don't tell me... lol... I'm a parent of 3

I don't know what you call it, if it's authority, ownership or whatever word we can choose, but it's a fact that I have power over my kids, want it or not. Even if I'm a very relaxed parent, I still have power. We need to learn from very young the difference of right and wrong, we still live in a society and my freedom stops where it messes with yours. I teach my kids that all actions have consequences, good and bad, and only with authority/power/respect I can do that.

now if you want to talk about abuse of power/authority, then I can agree with you and talk a lot of shit about government/cops/etc.
