I felt stressed since I have so many duties in my life that I neglect to look after myself. While I must prioritize my jobs and taking care of my son, it is difficult for me to prioritize self-care in my life, despite the fact that I am aware that self-care is a crucial element of stress management.
After completing the self-care evaluation, I discovered that my stress level was moderate, which surprised me. Therefore I'll have to be more conscious of self-care. Learning to spot my diminishing symptoms for impending burnout in the workplace is critical for me. From now on, I need to develop a self-action plan.
I believe that as stress levels rise, coping abilities weaken, increasing vulnerability to stress and creating a vicious cycle. Burnout can lead to emotional and physical health problems. To avoid burnout, I must recognize the signs and symptoms, which include excessive fatigue or poor sleep, a loss of my usual energy and motivation, boredom with or hatred of work duties, a constant desire to be somewhere other than work, projects or work duties suffering, depression, headaches, body aches, stomachaches, and other symptoms. I recognised I have several burnout warning signals, and I need a stress management plan that includes breathing, exercise, diet, attitude, and time management.
I expect to face numerous challenges during my work , including a lack of resources and support, culture shock in terms of language barriers, differences in etiquette norms, attitude, lack of respect from colleagues, others' perceptions of me, and not getting along with partners, or supervisors, among others. Therefore, I need to acknowledge these difficulties, think on how to overcome them, and establish self-action plans in order to deal with them.
Though I recognize that changing my attitude about stress and exhaustion is difficult, I would like to receive support and encouragement from others in order to improve my habits. I'll recognize my own burnout indications and symptoms. I will take a break, such as a 10-minute walk or a short nap, when I see my energy level is dwindling. I'll only work on one project at a time. By the end of the day, I'll have a plan for tomorrow's project.
