Nice work! Singapore is a multi-racial country and most Singaporeans are well-versed in English + another language (Mandarin, Malay or Tamil). The elder generation will also be good in dialects (Hokkien, Teochew, Cantonese and even Hakka).

Due to the campaign, there is a generation of Singaporeans who are unable to speak dialects well anymore. However, in recent years, there is a change in policy from the government and they are opening up to dialects again. Hope that will help bring the language back to future Singaporeans!
Thanks! I think there are some reason behind. Some said because of some Chinese cannot communicate if they only know one dialect, such that the government want a united language. Some said just simply political reason for ruling. But only god knows the true one.
