Right before I went studying aboard in Japan, I had a "Hot " birthday in Hong Kong...
由於小人我嗜辣如命,又好吃火鍋,女友在生日當天特意帶了我去嚐一嚐有名的"川婆婆"火鍋店。
As I am a spicy and hot pot lover, my girlfriend took to try a famous hotpot restaurant "Chuan Po Po"
一坐下來就先用了20元自已調了一個調味碟。這家店的鼓油味道很特別很濃,以前從沒嚐過這味道。
We first spent 20 dollar for the dipping sauce. Their soy sauce has a very unique taste that I have never experience before.
首先點了給女友吃的酸菜腩肉湯底和為我特意炮製的大辣版經典四川麻辣湯底。能看到鍋中的半邊天堂半邊火紅地獄。
I immediately ordered two different stocks: Pickled vegetable and the famous Sichuan extra spicy stock.
很快各樣配菜就陸續上場了,包括:
After a while, wide variety of dishes arrived
豬三寶:豬潤、豬心和豬大腸。豬心口感非常爽而豬腸略為太有嚼勁。
Three treasure of Pig: Pig liver, heart and intestine . The intestine is too chewy but the liver is very tasty.

Well placed vegetable and dried bean curd.
獨家手打肉丸,十分彈牙
Their exclusive meatball .
火鍋必備肥牛,這家店的肥牛質素普通,無突出之處。
The must-have incredients for hotpot - beef is rather mediocre
壓軸的是獨家滑牛!!牛肉與雞蛋混合在一起,不單美觀更是滑嫩可口。
The most special dishes - "egg beef", it is excellent in both their appearance and taste.
麻辣湯底果然夠勁,吃完後嘴唇都腫大了。
The spicy stock cause my lip to swell after the meal.
這一餐下來用了過700港元,雖然好吃,但略為昂貴。
This meal cost over 700 HKD, though it is quite a nice dinner, it is a bit expensive.
