Let's Have kaapi!(Indian Filtered coffee)

in #coffee7 years ago

Nothing excites me more than the aroma of freshly brewed Coffee,it instantly brightens my mood.A serious coffee drinker knows what it means to go a day without coffee.I would rather spend my last dollar on a cup of coffee rather than a snack.

My love for coffee began at age 15 when I first tasted filtered coffee which is also know as kaapi in south India. Its made by mixing frothed and boiled milk with the decoction obtained by brewing finely ground coffee powder in a traditional Indian filter.

Next time you visit South India Don't forget to grab a cup of kaapi.

Note: The above photo is taken on my visit to a local restaurant and cup of kaapi here costs only 24 cents!
