One Peso 1909s

in #coins10 days ago

Hey! We have a really great coin here. It is actually one of the most popular ones among local collectors. It's a silver coin, so often its value depends on the bullion price. Today, we are talking about the One Peso 1909s.

This coin is part of the rich and fascinating history of the US-Philippine series of coins. Many collectors consider these coins to be part of US coinage, which is why many Americans also collect these so-called USPI coins.

Here's a One Peso coin dated 1909. It still retains some luster. The details are clear and sharp. That's what makes this coin more valuable. Collectors consider the year 1908 to be a common year, and often was price to its bullion value. But coins in mint condition are seldom found, so the value goes up manifold.

This coin is 80% silver and weighs 20 grams. Although it's ungraded and raw, I feel it's at least AU (Almost Uncirculated). The design itself is beautiful, featuring a lady with a hammer and an anvil, along with a smoking volcano. On the reverse side, you'll find an eagle with spread wings and the shield of the United States.

This is a beautiful coin and the favorite of many collectors.

Well, that's the coin for today, and we'll be putting up more exciting coins in the coming posts.
