Take action, and create!
I'm sharing with you my contribution to @everlove's Collaborative Art Journey..."TAKE ACTION" No. 34. In this collaboration @everlove has provided the Steemit community with the image " TAKE ACTION " to inspire our creative responses.
The process
Originally I was going to use @everlove's image as inspiration for a painting. I started sketching out a portrait in pencil that I was going to apply acrylic paint to. Then it started to snow, and then snow a bit more. The light had become too low to paint by, so I decided to develop my work digitally.
As the starting point for my collaborative artwork I took a couple of the layers from my recent digital drawing Scribble Man and applied a filter over the drawing.
For the next stage layered my portrait drawing over @everlove's image "TAKE ACTION ". I made some adjustments to colour and contrast, and then flipped the image horizontally. I deleted sections of the portrait layer so that @everlove's image would show through the face.
The next stage was to add the text 'TIME TO WAKE UP', a response to @everlove's image title " TAKE ACTION "

You are a genius, sincerely, I never knew what would be the outcome of the pencil sketch but became a little bit heartbroken when the light had became too low and you couldn't continue manually but the beautiful drawing glued me to the post and my happiness got restored when you decided to perfect it digitally. Without an idea of what am about to see, I was optimistic and had no doubt because you started it well and believes you'd end well which I wasn't disappointed afterwards. I was so eager to see the final artwork while I was left in suspense. I became excited on seeing the perfected sketch and the animated gif swept me off my feet. You're good at what you do, so professional and creative. Thanks so much for the artwork; you actually put in a lot of work and @everlove will be proud of you and happy with your creativity. I admire your sense of creativity. , I love it.

OH YAY!!!!! Super awesome contribution @opheliafu! I love that you shared how you developed this and what a great outcome you had. I love the touches of color in the face and the opening and closing of the eye!!! Brilliant!!
It's hard to imagine it snowing as we are sitting here in the chirping bird 82 degree sunshine!!
The snow has stopped for now... just back to rain, rain and rain.
We're cold, we're hot, we're cold, we're hot!! Sunny, overcast, spurts of rain...... At least the trees are blooming and the wee tiny sprouts sprouting, greening things up a lot. Feels like spring is springing. Took some photo today I hope to share in a post soon. I have no doubt that here in Texas we will be grateful for rain in a few months time.
