On our long journey of climbing the mountain from hitting rock bottom, I have officially become a college student again.
It has been about 10 years since I attended. I have had 2 children since, and working fast food just ain't cutting it.
Being that I am technically single-I am engaged and been with my SO for 9 years next week- AND I have dependents AND currently a stay at home parent...... New York has offered me an amazing opportunity.
I have been given enough grants that I DON'T need to take out student loans. I scoured trying to find these so called "single mom grants". Maybe I sucked at online research. Yet never found any.
So I begin my journey as a Parent Student. I'll come up with a better phrase later.
As for now. It's time for more coffee and prepare for the last two days my children have of school for the summer.....
May your summer be full of coffee, sleeping in, beer, and family fun......
I'm not letting my nervousness of my return to school ruin this summer :).
