The amazingly beautiful Angel Oak Tree is said to be 300-500 years old, 65 feet high, with a circumference of 25.5 feet. Some say it is the oldest living thing in the U.S. east of the Mississippi.

    Wow!!! That is a stunning tree and huge. I hope it is being well protected so it will last for many generations to come :)

      Yeah, isn't it great!? There is a fence around it and staff on site to make sure it is protected. You aren't even allowed to use a tripod there because they are worried about the tripod sticking into the ground and hurting the roots of the tree.
