The problem is how to remain an artist
once we grow up.

we grow old because we stop playing.

Wow nice post.
Thanks for reading it.
and because every child is an artist they need peace, and time to wonder and explore...including Little Boy Blue :)
They sure do. Everything is a texture, a color, a sound, a taste, or smell.
so true...

Oh so true!! Let's never stop playing!!!!
I still have a kid mindset....I really do, but my body won't cooperate...what's with that?
I feel you!! Sooooo frustrating!!
I remember my 84 year old grandmother once told me that she felt young until she looked in the mirror - and was always shocked anew. I will always remember that.
That, my friend, is happening to me all the time!! What the heck!! :)
I know....what the heck indeed.
Somewhere along the line, someone told us that adults aren't supposed to play, so we don't. Perhaps the world would be a better place if we all took a step back from our overly busy lives and took the time to play...
Maybe if we followed a little one around we'd get our exercise?? Altho I don't know if I could keep up!!
I don't think keeping up with a toddler is the idea. The idea is for adults to play like children...go to a park, swing on a swing, sit on the teeter-tooter perhaps play in the sand box...
Oh, yes....I did mean that....while keeping up, not just following, but engaging in play. I play with my grandchildren on the swings, in the field, wherever....I'm exhausted - I wish I could keep up but my body won't cooperate totally.
I would like to play like a kid with my husband....now that would be funny - teeter totter at the park. The swing however makes me ill....so I push, not swing.
At the beach, definitely we play in the sand and make something. We need to do that more often for sure.
It is so much fun just to be a kid, even if it's only a few hours...
